Sketcher is an interesting, very simple little drawing game, based on connecting a series of dots together. The faster you connect the dots in the correct sequence, the higher your score becomes.
The controls for this game are fairly straightforward. All you have to do is move the cursor over the dot you want to draw from as a starting point, and then move it over the next dot in the series. The game will automatically draw a line between them if you are correct. The dots are all numbered, beginning with 1, so it’s easy to tell what dot is next in the progression.
When you played the game, you will quickly discover that you can’t just sit there and carefully study the pattern of dots, trying to find the next one in the sequence. The game has a timer, and if you take too long between correct dots, the game resets, forcing you to stay fast or start over.
There are eight levels in all, and each one is progressively more difficult. The first level has only 60 dots, for example, while the last level has 157. The placement of the numbers becomes more difficult to follow as well, which makes it much harder to keep going without the timer resetting.
Drawing games like this one are actually not as common as you might think, as the concept is so simple. Simple is not a bad thing in this case, however. Sketcher is an enjoyable way to waste a bit of free time, but it can also be used to teach logic skills.
