Think of the vertical action of Tetris mixed with the drawing of a game like Drawn to Life and the tactical components of a tower defense game and you have an idea of what to expect. As far as online drawing games go, Castle Draw is one of the most exciting out there.
You play as a wizard atop a castle being invaded by grunts. As the grunts climb the castle wall, you move your wizard left and right with the mouse to stay safe, also using the mouse at the top of the screen to draw rocks which are then immediately dropped onto the grunts.
This is where the game gets really fun. Whatever you draw, the rock that appears is proportioned accordingly. Whether jagged or smooth, big or small, you draw a rock and it appears. Smaller rocks may dizzy an enemy while larger rocks will simply smash them.
Here’s a tip: Try holding a rock by drawing it but not letting go of the mouse button until an enemy lines himself up with it. This way you don’t need such perfect timing to score a good hit.
Another tip: Try to draw bigger rocks to hit as many opponents as possible. Your magic power recharges fast enough that stunning enemies is only useful when you have no other options available.
And finally, make sure you’ve had your morning cup of coffee before tackling this game. It really does require fast paced, frenetic clicking and drawing, making it really an all-out action game that you can play on your computer at work or at school for a few minutes or a few hours, depending on how often the boss or teacher walks by your desk.
